Kokar Katala Cooperative’s Reaps Net Profits of Rp.1 Billion |

 West Sumbawa, tambangnews.com. – The employee cooperative of PT Newmont Nusa Tenggara (PTNNT) or Katala cooperative continues to growth. In 2010, it succeeded to reap net profits of Rp. 1 billion compared to last year’s of IDR803 million.
Head of the NTB’s Office of Cooperative and Small-Medium Enterprise Ir. Moh. Rusdi, M.M., expressed high appreciation during the annual meeting of members held at Batu Hijau, Monday, (31/1). “I am very enthusiastic attending the co-op’s Annual Meeting of Members. Currently, it has 2.734 members and total assets of IDR58.9 billion. Katala co-op is the biggest cooperative in NTB”, he said.
Chairman of Katala co-op Gunawan Rayes said the growth of Katala cooperative is inseparable from continued supports of PTNNT Management, board of executives, and the members. “We express our gratitude to the management of PTNNT in supporting and providing us with required facilities. We also thank the cooperative’s management and members for their continued supports and contributions in developing the cooperative," said Gunawan.
Meantime, PTNNT Community Relations Manager Syarafuddin Jarot expressed his pride upon the success of Katala co-op and expected the co-op to improve its performance in the future.
“Management expects Katala contributes to improving the employees’ welfare by providing beneficial products and services,” he said.
Katala cooperative had received a number of awards including the Cooperative with Outstanding Achievement in 2010, the 2010 RI Cooperative Award, the Best Cooperative in 2010 and 2003 from the Governor of West Nusa Tenggara.**
