Brazil, Tambangnews.com.- Ferrostaal underlined its positive expectations for business development in Brazil at the TECHMEI exhibition, which concludes tomorrow. Joachim Ludwig, member of the Ferrostaal Board, comments: "This year Brazil is forecasting economic growth at five per cent. The mechanical engineering industry expects the highest growth rates and is setting the basis for other industrial sectors."
In addition to machine designs for computer-controlled mill centres for handling large components weighing from three to 25 tons, Ferrostaal is also presenting at the exhibition typical applications for laser cutting and punching machines for the three-dimensional processing of components. Customised solutions for producing aircraft components and drilling equipment that satisfy micrometre precision requirements can also be seen.
Mr Ludwig adds: "In the last three years we have delivered more than 40 machines within Brazil. We have been active in Brazil for more than 50 years, will continue to expand successfully there, and will also contribute to future economic growth."
TECHMEI is regarded as the most important technology exhibition for industrial machinery and equipment in Brazil. Domestic companies as well as those from neighbouring countries use the exhibition to obtain information from leading international manufacturers on the latest technologies and on machines for the metalworking industry. ***
