Jakarta, Tambangnews.com.-  – Jakarta Fuel Installation Group, one of Pertamina’s facility, is recognized as world class fuel distribution installation through its new system improvement, New Gantry as part of Terminal Automation System (TAS) Jakarta Instalation Group. This new system will support fuel distribution activities in Jakarta Instalation Group (JIG) / Depo Plumpang to be faster and more accurate, besides operational budget efficiency up to Rp 30-35 billion per year.

Pertamina’s CEO Karen Agustiawan will launch the new system on Monday, 20 December 2010.

In terms of operational aspects, significant changes are implemented to improve the bays (fuel loading gate). These newer bays provide higher loading capacity, from 900 liter per minute as before to 2.200-2.400 liter per minute. This change make loading time more effective, from 40-52 minute per petrol tanks to only 4-8 minute per tank car. More over, the amount of bays that serve fuel distribution in JIG are also decrease from 68 bays to 12 bays.

More effecetive and efficient loading process in JIG lead to fewer petrol tanks to distribute fuel all over Jabodetabek. Before the new system is implemented, JIG needed around 230 petrol tanks to distribute fuel around Jabodetabek. Now, it only needs around 157 petrol tanks to deliver the same amount of fuel. It also supported by newer Pertamina’s petrol tanks that accomodate higher volume and more variety products in one patrol tanks, so that they can reach more petrol stations.

Average fuel distribution output from JIG is around 17.500 KL per day include 11.000 KL Premium, 4.300 KL Solar, 2.200 KL Pertamax and 200 KL Pertamax Plus.
In terms of data, this automatic system is also make data reconsiliation easier which avoid backlog on MySap system caused by late or wrong data input. But manual data reconsiliation is also provide when needed.
JIG is completed by in-line blending, that allows JIG mix some materials to be certain products such as Pertamax, Bio Solar, Bio Premium, etc. The transformation also supports JIG modern appearence. Next, Pertamina will continue its transformation in all distribution facilities, such as in Medan, Makassar, Semarang dan Bandung.
